Four service members. Four branches. One shared purpose.

I was honored to recently photograph representatives from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force through the Portraits For Patriots® program — helping service members step confidently into their next chapter.

Before each session, I took time to get to know them and was struck by their professionalism and depth of experience.

One had served with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division before becoming a cybersecurity strategist supporting the White House (NSC) and Joint Chiefs on digital transformation. Another led Marine Corps officer recruiting and served as a Legislative Fellow. A third had been a Navy officer on nuclear submarines who later advanced into a senior Meteorology and Oceanography role within the Navy’s Information Warfare community. And another had been an Air Force F-16 operations test engineer and program manager for high-performance computing before serving as a Space Command liaison to DARPA.

Each brought a unique story of service, discipline, and leadership — the kind of unsung heroes who quietly defend this country and now prepare to lead in new ways beyond their military service.
